Bunny Bun was my first ever bun, I got her May 2003 at which time she was about 3months old.She was caught my eye right away, as she was a multi colored bun with lots of lovely patterns in her fur.She was sat all alone in a small cage off to one side, as if she was being segregated from everyone else, which was quite sad to see. My husband and I could tell right away she needed us, and you could even see her ears listening as we decided wether we should take her with us or not.She never knew she was actually a bun...as we never chose to tell her so...she thought she was a dog as her and our border collie grew up together. To start with they were deffinately the very best of pals..as Sassy the dog grew...it slowely began to become more and more dangerous for them to play thier games together....not because Sassy woulda been harmful on purpose..but because they rough housed quite a bit! The fav game of choice was leap frog...followed by the next favorite catch me if you can, round and round the couch! One day though Bunny Bun just hadn't counted on Sassy increasing in height and got a bloody nose when leap frog just hadn't gone well. This of course scared me and was the end of the dog bun relationship.Bunny Bun is now going to be 5 in March and she is still quite a handful..but in a good way. She is deffinately the queen of her lil bunny domain.....I even have this little song I made up for her years ago..which I sing to her whenever I plan to invade her kingdome....as cleaning the hutch brings out the worst in her...she hates her nests being messed with! The words go to a catchy tune and it goes something like this:
" She's a bunny bunny bunny  girl in a bunny bunny bunny world..." No not some chart stopper of course but deffinately a tune she knows! I began to worry that Bunny Bun needed a pal of some sort ..as the dog and her couldn't be pals....so I got Flopsy bun to be her friend in 2005.....which didn't go over too well. So they have spent the last 2 years being upstairs downstairs neighbors in a double hutch.Where bunny bun is the strong personality bun..Flopsy bun is more the kinder gentler bun....she is very submissive and even a bit shy at times.Flopsy was a small tiny baby when we got her, a little ball of silvery grey fur. Flopsy eventually comes out of her fearful bun routine to be actually quite a curious bun.....She isn't used to the dogs as much as Bunny Bun as she has never been out of her hutch dirrectly exposed to the dogs....like Bunny Bun. Flopsy of course knows them and such as they do see each other through the doors of the hutch. Flopsy grew to be a very large bun compared to Bunny Bun, and at times I dont think she realized her size, LOL...I recall one time she was outside on a nice day in the summer , and she tried to investigate the top of the cage she was in...so she stood on her hind legs to check things out, well ..she musta been bigger than she knew as she toppled over like a drunk who couldn't stand, she was so funny at times.

I have thoroughly LOVED having my beautiful girls, and will never forget the few memories we do have together.....Saturday December 1st my beautiful girls will be rehomed in Telford, Shropshire...this makes me both sad and happy at the same time. They have to be rehomed due to several things outside my control, but I have made sure they are going to a very lovely future. Thanks for taking the time to stop in and read about my buns...enjoy some of thier pictures below!
